Business Advisory
Hands-on advisory for owners who want a second brain in the business — not just a sounding board.
We've been where you are
We are not consultants who read about business in a textbook, and we are not coaches who ask questions until you land on the answer yourself. Before this, we were business owners ourselves — made payroll, hired the wrong person and had to fix it, negotiated the hard deal, carried the P&L and answered for it. This is not theory for us; it is what we actually lived, before turning to advisory work.
Running a business can be a lonely place, and most owners do not have anyone in their corner who has actually sat in that chair. We have — and we will get through it with you, not just tell you how.
We work alongside owners, not above them.
Every engagement is built around what the business actually needs, not a packaged service we are trying to sell.
Most of the businesses we work with are not broken — they have grown past the systems and structures that got them here. The problems tend to show up the same way: the owner is still the bottleneck, reporting is unreliable, the team is not performing the way it should, or the business is about to make a significant investment and wants to get it right.
People & Structure
Getting the organisational structure right so the business does not depend entirely on you.
- Organisational design and reporting lines that match how the business actually operates, not an org chart template
- Role clarity — who owns what, and where accountability currently has gaps
- Hiring strategy for key roles, including when to hire senior versus develop internally
- Performance frameworks that hold people accountable without micromanaging
Process & Operations
Fixing the day-to-day friction that quietly caps how fast the business can grow.
- Workflow design — mapping how work actually moves through the organisation versus how it is supposed to
- Reporting cadence and meeting rhythm — the right information reaching the right people, at the right frequency
- Operational bottleneck diagnosis — finding where growth is genuinely getting blocked
- Systems and process alignment — making sure the way the organisation works and the tools it uses actually match
Growth & Finance
The commercial side of scaling without losing control of cash.
A healthy business is always in a saleable position — whether you are planning to exit next year or never. That is not about preparing for a sale; it is simply what running things properly looks like.
- Cash flow management and forecasting discipline
- Accounts receivable and payable process — collections, payment terms, and the habits that protect cash position
- Sales pipeline structure and forecasting accuracy
- Capital raising and funding options as the business scales
- Exit planning and business valuation groundwork, whether exit is two years out or ten
How it works
Half-day deep dive
We spend half a day in the business with you — no agenda, no slide deck. We are looking at what is actually happening: the problems you are carrying, the opportunities you are not moving on, and where the real friction is. By the end we both know exactly what needs to happen and in what order.
Weekly sessions to implement
We work through the priorities together in regular weekly sessions — not check-ins, but working sessions where things actually get done. If a hire needs managing, we are in that conversation. If a process needs redesigning, we map it out and put it in place. We stay until the fix sticks, not until the advice has been delivered.
Results review
Implementation is not the finish line. We schedule a proper check-in to review whether what we built is delivering — against real numbers — and adjust anything that is not pulling its weight.
Proudly working with SME business owners across South East Queensland — Brisbane, Logan, the Gold Coast, and surrounding regions.
